Discover the diversity of animals who call the Aquarium home.
Throughout the week, you’ll learn about our most popular species and get a front-row seat for their husbandry and care through animal observations, exploratory activities, and role play. We will cover the special needs of rescued animals, demonstrate how staff administer medication and provide care in the water, and showcase the Aquarium’s role in broader efforts to preserve and protect vulnerable species.
When: February 16-20, April 6-10 Ages: 10-14
The ocean is calling! Come explore the watery world that makes up 71% of our planet.
You’ll learn about the properties of water, ocean ecosystems, and the incredible variety of life found among them. In this indoor/outdoor camp you‘ll gather and test water samples from both Aquarium exhibits and ecosystems within the State Park, hunt for animal life, and interact with preserved specimens and artifacts. Together, we will strive to understand the wonders of the ocean while also learning how to preserve it.
