Smitty will be moving to the Pittsburgh Zoo & Aquarium next month to join their colony. We are proud to be a part of the Species Survival Plan (SSP) Program for Humboldt penguins and moves like this ensure a healthy, diverse, and responsibly-managed population of Humboldt penguins across accredited institutions.

Come say “So long, Smitty” from October 3rd through the 6th. In addition, to waving farewell to your feathered friend, you’ll also hear from his keepers and have chance to take a photo with a Smitty stand-in!
