BIRDS ON THE NIAGARA

celebrating notable birds of the region

Overview

From February 14th to 17th, we’re once again partnering with the Birds on the Niagara international bird festival to celebrate the incredible diversity of bird species that pass through the Niagara River Corridor. Visit our new expansion, Great Lakes 360, to learn about some of the notable birds that overwinter in the region. Get a crash course in birding basics, then test your knowledge by finding and identifying images of birds located around the building.
This festival is a great opportunity to also bring awareness to the AZA SAFE: Saving Animals From Extinction program for North American songbirds. You’ll discover simple ways that can help protect those frequent visitors to your backyard bird feeders.
New this year, we will be offering FREE daily bird walks at 10:30am and owl pellet dissection presentations at 2pm!

  • All activities included with price of admission.
  • Activities in H.O.M.E.S. Room at Great Lakes 360 from 10am – 4pm daily.
