Have you ever wanted to waddle in the footsteps of a penguin, get splashed by a sea lion or get a big wet kiss from a seal? Now you can! When you visit the Aquarium of Niagara you can experience it all and more when you sign up for our AquaVenture. (Reservations must be made 2 weeks in advance)

Program Highlights:

Ø      Participant will get up close with one of our Humboldt penguins, participate in an interactive session behind the scenes, and have a picture taken with the penguin.

Ø      Participant will get up close with one of our harbor seals and one of our California sea lions in an interactive play session.

Ø      Photos will be taken throughout your experience by a staff member and placed onto a CD.

Ø      AquaVenture is offered Tuesday thru Saturday, please arrive promptly at 9:45 a.m.

Restrictions:

 

Ø           No more than 2 participants are allowed for each session.

Ø           Participant must not have participated in a marine mammal rescue within
the previous 48 hours to avoid transmission of diseases to our animals.

Ø           Participant must not be pregnant.

Ø           Participant must not be under the influence of alcohol or drugs

Ø           Participant must be 10 years of age or older, able to climb stairs and
bend down comfortably.

Ø           Participant must be capable of and willing to participate in the program.

Ø           Participant must be able to understand English.

Ø           Participant must complete a release form prior to participating in the
program. Minors under the age of 18 must also have a parent or legal guardian sign their release form.

Price per participant

$150.00 (member)
        $175.00 (non-member)

    * A $25 non-refundable deposit is required.
**Registration is not confirmed until the non-refundable $25 U.S. deposit for each participant is received.

Cancellations and Refunds:

 

Ø           Cancellations must be done a minimum of 48 hours in advance; deposits are non-refundable.

Ø           Participant must arrive on time; program ends as scheduled, regardless of when the participant arrives.

Ø           Programs are not canceled due to cold or inclement weather.

Ø           Animal participation is optional and although rare, sometimes an animal may choose not to participate in a given situation; no refund will be issued should this occur.

Ø           Refunds will not be issued to participants who are too cold, scared of
the animals or the water, change their minds or otherwise choose
not to participate.

Ø           We reserve the right to cancel or amend program content and
price without notice.

What to wear:

Ø      Khaki or black, pants or shorts are a must.

Ø      Sneakers or water shoes are required - no sandals

Ø      All jewelry must be removed.

Observers:

Aquarium admission allows accompanying party to observe the
participant while performing duties in the public area. Observers are not permitted into the behind the scenes areas.
